The EFACS Annual User Group Meeting took place on Tuesday 13th October at the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire.
After an introduction by the Chairman of the User Group, Jonathan Orme, Norman Woodward opened the session with a presentation showing how Metsec plc had developed and implemented a Coil Receipts Scanning solution using handheld terminals and printers. This was followed by Simon Spriggs showing how the Eagle Field Service module brings benefits to those organisations with a field service or remote engineer operation. Richard Street then gave an overview of the Export Documentation system developed by i2i.
Next there was a presentation from Steve Thomas, the National Sales Manager from Cybit Ltd, on Vehicle Tracking and the benefits that companies can gain from implementing this kind of software.
Steve Martin and Lee Harding, Account Managers from Exel then demonstrated some of the latest developments in the EFACS product as well as outlining the development plans for the future. This included the new EFACS Quality Control functionality and development of EFACS to run on an Oracle database and to integrate with other products in the Oracle product range, such as Hyperion, Peoplesoft, Agile or Siebel.
The day was rounded off by a live prize draw for a laptop, which was won by Paul Turner from Samuel Heath.
During the breaks and at lunch time the users were able to meet with a number of Exel Implementation Consultants and Account Managers who were on hand to answer any questions.
