New EFACS Implementation for GTS Flexible Materials Limited

Exel Computer Systems are pleased to welcome GTS Flexible Materials Limited as one of our latest new customers for the EFACS E/8 ERP system.

GTS established in 1967 are one of Europe's leading and most progressive designers and manufacturers of flexible laminates and adhesive coatings with a reputation for quality, reliability and durability.

In completing the first implementation phase of their 18 user system GTS are now using EFACS E/8; Accounts, Engineering, Stock, Purchasing and Sales modules and are already seeing benefits in improved stock management.

Meeting the specific requirements of the automotive industry standards requires GTS to have a carefully managed supply chain of approved suppliers, material reception by highly trained personnel using certified and calibrated test equipment, and fully auditable traceability of materials through their manufacturing processes.

With UK based Head Office and Manufacturing facilities they also have subsidiaries in France, Germany and America.

The GTS range of adhesive tapes and flexible laminates have uses for electronics, automotive wiring, cable insulation, marine, military and aerospace with applications as diverse as electrical insulation, flexible circuits, membrane touch panels, RFID tags, dart flights, cryogenic seals, hang glider and sail laminated fabrics, to name but a few.

Innovators in the development of materials for use in flexible printed circuits with great expertise in the application of adhesive coating and laminating techniques, GTS are also a European distributor for APICAL® polyimide films.

In addition GTS' innovative working practices extend to a concern for the environment with a certified Environmental Management System meeting the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004m, this is fully integrated with their Quality Management System which also fully complies with the requirements of both BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and the automotive standard ISO/TS16949:2002.
