As a leading author of ERP software for manufacturers, Exel are amongst the keenest to see the UK manufacturing industry adopt the latest in business software solutions that modernise the business and allow you to keep pace with a rapidly changing industry. We do, however, understand that financial realities can delay this process, potentially making your business less competitive in the market.

The government is now offering a helping hand via the new ‘Made Smarter’ scheme. The scheme, currently delivered as a ‘pilot’ to manufacturers in the North West, is designed to help you understand the new industrial technologies and help you to develop a strategy for implementation that fits in with your core business needs.

In addition to providing insight around your teams’ changing needs, through a dedicated leadership programme and access to student placements, the scheme can offer up to 50% match-funding for its implementation. This may include new business software, additional software licenses and consultancy to assist businesses in achieving their goal.

The newly launched Made Smarter programme is designed to support manufacturers, engineers, makers and creators with facilities or operations in Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region to grow through adoption of new technologies.
